Welcome to Carpe Diem Restaurant and Caterers. Carpe Diem is a fine dining restaurant and caterer located in the Elizabeth neighborhood adjacent to downtown Charlotte.  We have been open since 1989, but have moved twice due to downtown business developments. We are now in our third incarnation at 1535 Elizabeth Avenue. Our interiors are done in a beautiful art nouveau style. Mahogany doors, copper lighting that vines around the wood work, and marble floors are just a few details that will engage you in the surroundings. Our menu features long time favorites, like our hazelnut crusted goat cheese salad, but has new items that will keep your palate interested. Carpe Diem Restaurant and Caterers has consistently been voted one of the top ten restaurants in Zagat’s America’s Top Restaurants since 2005.  Carpe Diem Caterers is available for off premise full service catering. We can provide corporate catering as well as wedding catering. Our restaurant is also available for receptions during the day. A private room is available in the evening for meetings or rehearsal dinners.
